Privacy Policy
Orvela is operated by SIA Digital Publisher. This policy explains how the Orvela website and iOS app collect, use, and share information.
We use data to calculate your personal map, provide readings and conversations, maintain your account and subscription, improve the product, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
Information the iOS app collects
- Account information: your name, email address, internal user ID, and authentication details managed by our sign-in provider.
- Personal map inputs: birth date, optional birth time, birth place, resolved coordinates and timezone, and Ayurveda questionnaire answers.
- Content you create: questions, chat messages, journal entries, saved readings, and profiles you choose to add.
- App activity and identifiers: app launches, onboarding steps, screen and paywall interactions, device or advertising identifiers, and an optional push notification token.
- Subscription information: product, entitlement, purchase status, renewal state, and related transaction events. Apple processes payment details; Orvela does not receive your card number.
How the app uses information
Birth inputs and timing context are sent to Orvela's calculation services to create chart, Moon, Vedic timing, and numerology facts. Questionnaire answers are used to create the body-mind profile shown in the app.
Calculated facts, your questions, and relevant conversation context may be sent to AI and embedding providers so Orvela can write a response and retrieve memories. These providers do not receive your Orvela account password.
Account, journal, profile, reading, and subscription records are stored to provide the product, protect access, restore purchases, and keep the thread of your experience.
Advertising measurement and tracking
Orvela uses the Meta SDK and RevenueCat's Meta Ads integration to measure installs and subscription conversions. Device identifiers, product interaction events, and purchase or subscription events may be shared with Meta for advertising measurement.
On iOS, Orvela asks for permission through App Tracking Transparency before accessing the advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, IDFA is not available to Orvela and the app's core features continue to work.
Service providers
Orvela relies on service providers for authentication, database hosting, astronomical calculations, AI responses and embeddings, subscription management, advertising measurement, notifications, and place search. These include Clerk, Convex, Anthropic, Voyage AI, RevenueCat, Meta, Expo and Apple notification services, and Open-Meteo.
Providers receive only the information needed for their role and process it under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not share birth details, chat messages, or journal entries with Meta for advertising.
Website data
The free website tools use the birth details, place, or questionnaire answers you enter to compute the requested result. You do not need an account to use them. Place searches are sent to Open-Meteo, and calculation inputs are sent to Orvela's astronomical service.
The website records aggregate page views. If you join the optional Android waitlist, we keep your email only to send that launch notification unless you separately consent to something else.
Retention and your choices
App data is generally retained while your account exists. You can review or change profile information in the app and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion removes Orvela's account data, subject to limited records a payment or infrastructure provider may retain for legal, security, or billing obligations.
You can disable notifications in iOS Settings, change tracking permission in iOS Privacy & Security settings, and manage an App Store subscription in your Apple Account.
Age
Orvela is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children under 16.
