How Orvela works
Calculated sky. Interpreted meaning. Your choice.
The map begins with real inputs
Orvela starts with the information needed to create a personal map, then uses the relevant facts for the question or page being read.
- Birth date
- Birth time, when known
- Birth place and timezone context
- Current date or selected timing context
- Questionnaire answers for Ayurveda
The sky is calculated
Orvela calculates chart data with Swiss Ephemeris. The website uses these facts for Moon timing, Mercury retrograde pages, horoscope evidence, and chart-related public tools.
The current system supports tropical chart context for Western astrology and a sidereal/Lahiri layer for Vedic timing where those facts are implemented.
When a fact is not available in the code, Orvela should not pretend it is known. The page should either omit it or describe the method more generally.
The five lenses
Astrology
The birth sky gives a symbolic pattern: signs, placements, houses, and aspects where available.
Vedic timing
The sidereal/Lahiri layer supports nakshatra and dasha-style timing where the product has those facts available.
Numerology
Life path and personal cycles add a number-based language for repeating themes and timing.
Moon
Moon phase, Moon sign, and current lunar context describe the emotional rhythm of the day.
Ayurveda
The dosha questionnaire adds body-mind tendencies and supportive everyday language, without diagnosis or treatment.
How AI writes the reading
AI receives calculated facts, user context, and a safety-aware writing frame. It translates that evidence into guidance a person can actually read.
AI does not choose the Moon phase, invent a transit, create a dasha date, or decide what the sky is doing. That belongs to the calculation layer.
Why this reading
A strong Orvela reading should make the underlying reason visible enough to trust. The product direction is simple: calculated facts, interpreted meaning, user choice.
Internally, this means public SEO pages should keep evidence close to interpretation: dates, phases, signs, cycles, and links must come from the fact layer before copy is written.
Boundaries
Orvela is for reflection and entertainment. It is not medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice, and it is not a deterministic prediction system.
The best reading does not take choice away. It names a pattern clearly enough that you can meet the next step with more honesty.

Methodology FAQ
Does Orvela calculate the sky itself?
The calculation layer creates sky and timing facts first. The AI layer interprets those facts into readable guidance.
Does Orvela use Swiss Ephemeris?
Yes. The website code uses Swiss Ephemeris for current Moon, Mercury retrograde, horoscope, and chart-related fact generation.
Is every reading exact?
No symbolic reading should be treated as exact prediction. Orvela is built for reflection, timing, and clarity, not certainty.
Why does methodology matter?
Because public SEO content and app readings should be grounded in facts before they become interpretation. The source facts and the written meaning should stay separate.
