What each planet means in each sign
Your Sun sign is one line of the chart. The Moon shows what you need, Mercury how you think, Venus how you love, Mars how you fight, and the rising sign how you arrive. Each guide starts from the placement's element, modality, ruler and traditional dignity, then turns it into something you can use.

Moon sign meanings
Moon governs emotional needs, instinctive reactions, comfort, memory, and what makes a person feel safe. It changes sign about every two and a half days, so birth time matters near a sign boundary.
Mercury sign meanings
Mercury governs thinking style, learning, speech, writing, decision-making, and how information gets processed. It never sits more than one sign away from the Sun, so it is usually the Sun sign or a neighbour.
Venus sign meanings
Venus governs attraction, affection, values, taste, money attitudes, and how love is given and received. It never sits more than two signs from the Sun, and changes sign roughly monthly.
Mars sign meanings
Mars governs drive, desire, anger, courage, ambition, and how effort and conflict are handled. It spends about six to seven weeks in a sign, longer when retrograde.
Rising sign meanings
The Ascendant governs first impressions, physical presence, the way a person enters a room, and the lens through which the whole chart is read. It changes about every two hours, which is why an accurate birth time is required.
